Mark Segovia Research Assistant at Hi-DARS lab - TTU HCoA
This Summer semester of 2025, Mark Segovia is joining the Hi-DARS lab as a Research Assistant.
Mark Segovia is a designer and researcher with Hi-DARS Lab at Texas Tech University, investigating computational design, digital fabrication, and context-responsive architecture. His work combines advanced parametric methodologies with robotic and additive manufacturing, focusing on hybrid workflows that integrate human craft with machine precision. Drawing on experience in custom G-code generation, site-specific toolpaths, and performative clay assemblies, Mark’s research aims to develop novel architectural systems that respond to environmental forces such as wind and evaporation. At Hi-DARS, he contributes to explorations in AR-guided assembly, non-planar printing, and adaptive design strategies bridging digital and material systems
