This Summer semester of 2026, Tahmures Ghiyasi is joining the Hi-DARS lab as a Research Assistant.

Tahmures Ghiyasi is a Ph.D. candidate and Graduate Research Assistant at the Hi-DARS lab, Texas Tech University's Huckabee College of Architecture, where his research centers on AI-integrated robotic fabrication and human–robot collaboration for the construction industry. With over a decade of experience across architectural engineering and computational design, he is a named co-inventor of the lab's patented Timber Dowel Reciprocal Lattice system and lead author of "Tool to Teammate," a systematic review introducing a six-level classification of human–robot collaboration in architectural fabrication. His work spans self-aligning modular assembly, circular timber construction, and edge-AI robotics, and earned second place at the 2024 IASS Innovative Pavilions Competition at ETH Zürich. He previously served as an AI Developer Intern in structural engineering at Walter P Moore.
