Erik Zanetti & Daniel Fischer are invited as guest speakers in Hi-DARS lab’s TALK SERIES

Hi-DARS talk series as part of the ARCH 5301 Special Problems course.

We are excited to welcome Daniel Fischer and Erik Zanetti, both esteemed researchers from the Professorship for Digital Design and Fabrication (DDF) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), to our upcoming Hi-DARS talk. Their work focuses on pushing the boundaries of digital fabrication, material innovation, and circular construction through advanced computational design methodologies. With extensive experience in digital wood construction, circular economy strategies, and the application of bio-based and waste materials in architecture, Fischer and Zanetti bring a wealth of knowledge that bridges academia, research, and industry practice.

Daniel Fischer, an architect with a background in digital design and circular construction, joined DDF in 2021 after working as a project architect. His research focuses on digital wood construction and digital circular economy. 

Erik Zanetti, a research assistant at DDF, specializes in circular building systems and materials, utilizing digital techniques to explore bio-based, waste, and earth materials. With experience as a computational designer and digital fabrication specialist at Fibr GmbH, he brings industry expertise to his research.
